Price and open interest
Compare closed daily price moves with settled open interest across a consistent set of option contracts. Describe what changed, not who is right.
Heartbeat / Product preview
Coming soonHeartbeat is a planned options-context tool: daily price and open-interest readings, with volume, volatility and events beside them. Built around a simple distinction: what the data describes is not the same as what happens next.
Heartbeat is not available yet. Current subscriptions do not unlock it. Launch timing, supported coverage and plan inclusion are not confirmed.
Planned scope
Compare closed daily price moves with settled open interest across a consistent set of option contracts. Describe what changed, not who is right.
Read option volume and implied volatility alongside the daily state, with event context where data coverage and display rights allow.
Keep missing data, publication timing and unclear readings visible. Test claims against a baseline before presenting any evidence of predictive value.
Open interest cannot identify who opened a position, whether they bought or wrote an option, or whether it is part of a hedge. A descriptive label is not an instruction to buy or sell.
US options open interest is generally settled once per day. Trading volume does not distinguish opening from closing trades, so it cannot stand in for intraday changes in open interest.
Data permissions, publication timing and validation must be checked before release. Heartbeat will not place orders or provide personalized investment advice.
Explore portfolio risk checks or learn how daily rule alerts work. No Heartbeat purchase or reservation is offered.
